Its an overcast day this morning and they are calling for a rain/snow mix on the news. I suppose I could do with out the snow but I totally have a fondness for a gloomy day and a hearty bowl of stew. Today was a perfect day for that. We didn't make a menu for the week and I have just been letting my moods dictate what we have for our supper. Having been pretty melancholy lately and the rainy day kind of atmosphere setting the mood, I could see nothing betther than the comfort of soup and bread.
I knew we had some stewing beef in the fridge so I grabbed that out to thaw, and set about my day of cleaning, errands and making sure the world is in order for M when she gets home from work.
