We dropped G off at the airport amidst some nasty storms. No planes were taking off or landing but we expected it to move through fairly quickly. Every time we go to the airport we have a discussion about our least favorite piece of Denver public art, Blucifer the Evil Horse of Death. A piece of the thing fell on the artist, killing him, while it was being constructed. It's eyes change color from evil red to...ummm....well, empty. The dang thing is just scary!
And with tornado's on the horizon, a death horse standing guard over the entrance road and now a giant sculpture of Anubis, the Egyptian God of Death glaring into the main terminal....
...well, flying out of DIA has been taken to a whole new level!
So we decided we needed some good juju to change the mood. What better to conjure up good things than a little Smashburger and a random, open-to-anyone jumpy castle!
A Lovely Sunday Ride is a twice monthly slow ride for ladies in the spirit of cycle chic. Each ride we explore one of the Denver Metro areas beautiful neighborhoods, ending for coffee, brunch, ice cream and maybe a cocktail!
